When is Founding Females | Central Illinois?
Founding Females | Central Illinois is a 1-day event uniting women business owners. The day includes thought-provoking speakers, mastermind sessions with peers, Q&A by business experts, Start Your Business 101 mentoring, and relationship building. Lunch is included. This monumental event for female entrepreneurs will take place again on October 1, 2023.
Where is the event being hosted?
Founding Females | Central Illinois will be hosted in Central Illinois. The chosen venue is The Cannery in Eureka, Illinois. The gorgeous venue will make you feel right at home with your new business besties! Check out a shot of The Cannery’s Instagram below!
What are your goals for this event?
Our goals are three-fold. They are:
CONNECT - Create a network of female business connections who uplift, empower, and inspire one another toward business success.
EDUCATE - Provide space and opportunity for engagement for a free flow of knowledge to circulate generously and organically.
EMPOWER - Meet attendees where they are in their own business journey. Provide resources in the form of presentations, connections, problem solving, and guidance that transform their businesses and propel their tangible processes and profitability.
What can I expect from attending the event?
If you’re looking for growth as a small business owner, this event is for you. Plan to walk away feeling like a new woman. Running a successful small business is about more than simply producing good work. It also means creating a supportive network, stepping outside your comfort zone, and learning how to make a positive impact.

What should I bring with me to the event?
Come prepared with anything you’ll need to jot down fresh ideas, network, meet 1:1 with new connections. Here’s a list of our suggestions:
Business cards
Something to take notes - Journal, Notes app on your phone, or iPad
Cash - A drink and light snack is included with your ticket, but it’s a good idea to bring cash for additional refreshments just in case.
Something to take pictures and your next headshot - This will likely be your phone, but if you’d like to take your headshot with a nice camera you own, bring that.
A backpack or bag - Each attendee will receive a Founding Females party bag, though it may not be big enough to hold all the things you’ll gather at the event. Consider bringing a backpack or bag to hold your things.
Space will not be provided for attendees to stash coats, bags, or other belongings.
Are refunds offered?
Refunds are not offered for this event. Instead, if you are unable to use your ticket, we ask you do one of the following to spread good around and make an impact:
Donate it back to Founding Females - We’ll be sure to re-home your ticket to someone down on their luck who would love to attend but can’t afford to.
Sell it to a sister - Ask around your network and invite another Founding Female to purchase your ticket from you.
Host a giveaway - Why not positively impact your business by offering your ticket as a giveaway item to your email list or social media following?
Pay it forward - Give it to a young entrepreneur or someone just starting out running her business.
Are men allowed at this event?
Of course! We’ll take all the female entrepreneurship advocates we can get. The event is, however, geared toward supporting women in the unique challenges they face in business ownership.
Can women outside of Central Illinois attend the event?
Absolutely! The more the merrier. You can sit with us. Girl, c’mon and join. We’d love to have you.

Who is hosting?
It’s me, Francie. I’m hosting this event with my company, Founding Females, for two reasons. First, I’m surrounded by an incredible network of women whose light and savvy needs to be amplified.
Secondly, I felt called to breathe life into the idea of gathering and empowering female entrepreneurs.
I’m so blessed to have found my life’s work early in life and I don’t take that lightly.
