JOIN THE LIST

As we prepare to come together for our morning of Women, Wealth & Wellness on Thursday, November 6, I want to share a new layer of purpose we’re adding and invite you to join in.

We’ll be collecting canned goods at the event and invite everyone to bring one (or more!) nonperishable food items to contribute.

Here's why: It’s hard to focus on generational change like building wealth, prioritizing wellness, and stepping into our leadership, when we don't know where our next meal is coming from. Across Central Illinois, food banks are reporting sustained or rising demand for help and resources. Nearly four in ten households across Illinois are struggling to afford the basics, according to Mahomet Daily. National programs like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are seeing stresses with benefits in flux due to the government shutdown.

As women, business owners, leaders, and community builders, we have the opportunity to step in! By adding this food drive to our day of empowerment, we can help fill the need by caring for our community.

Here’s how you can help:
• Bring one or more non‐perishable items (WHIP Food Pantry in Washington, IL will receive our donations and they're requesting peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, and cans of pumpkin) when you come on November 6.
• Look for the collection point at the venue when you arrive at WTVP PBS Studios (doors open at 7:30 AM and the event begins promptly at 8:00 AM).

If you or someone you know needs food assistance, please know you're not alone. Call 211 to connect with local resources.

Kristen, Nicole, and I are really looking forward to sharing this morning with you and learning from our incredible collective of speakers, now with an even more meaningful way to raise up our community together.

See you Thursday,
Francie Hinrichsen, Founder
