Female Founder Spotlight: The Wink House

As female entrepreneurs, we know marketing is the engine that drives revenue in business.

At Founding Females®, we talk all the time about The Buying Cycle, or the psychological process customers go through as they make a buying decision.

In short, The Buying Cycle has four stages:

  1. Awareness

  2. Consideration

  3. Purchase

  4. After-Sale

Social media marketing should be one piece of your marketing pie, but it requires repeat touch points on multiple fronts to successfully guide leads (potential customers) through The Buying Cycle and into a sale.

That’s why if social media marketing is your only marketing in business, you’re missing the mark!

I’m excited to shine the spotlight on one of my favorite clients: Andrea Winkler, founder of The Wink House.

The Wink House in Peoria, Illinois

This win is particularly close to my heart and here's why: Andrea Winkler was invited to attend our very first Founding Females | Central Illinois event in March 2022.

At that point, she had an idea in her heart to bring clean, healthy products to our local community.

After the event, Andrea reached out and asked to grab coffee to talk through Dream, Build, Grow: A Female's Step-by-Step Guide for How to Start a Business - the book I published to empower women to start businesses.

We met at a local coffee shop, Eli's, and I encouraged her through a few questions she had.

Fast forward to Summer of 2023, Andrea reached out again with news that she was finally breathing life into her idea, with a special twist.

And here's the really amazing part. Not only did she have a sustainable plan for a brick and mortar where she could offer clean health and wellness products, she was also going to do it while empowering 40 other local small businesses by providing brick and mortar space for them to have a permanent location.

Andrea took these steps to plan, build, and launch The Wink House with Founding Females’® help:

  1. Attended the Founding Females® women's entrepreneur conference,

  2. Read and worked through Dream, Build, Grow: A Female’s Step-by-Step Guide for How to Start a Business (← click this link to snag a copy on Amazon)

  3. Attended free Founding Females® Meet Ups to gain support from other female founders,

  4. Joined the Founding Females® Mastermind, and

  5. Became a client of mine for a new website build and a tailored launch plan for her new business.

She weathered some really difficult challenges to get her space opened and she persevered with our female founder community cheering her on the whole way!

The Wink House is approaching its first anniversary. What a year it’s been! Now The Wink House is a warm welcoming space in Peoria, Illinois, where over 40 local small businesses have a permanent location to grow and reach new customers.

Andrea, I'm delighted in your grit and determination to build something amazing. This is only the beginning of a powerful legacy you're creating!

Let’s Work Together!
