Business Mastermind Feature: Taylor Leontios of Lion Concierge Physical Therapy Services, PLLC
Building a Strong Community in Entrepreneurship
Seasoned entrepreneurs know that growing a business is less about having all the right answers and more about having relationships where you can find the right answers.
A strong community is vital for growing a business. That’s why this Women’s Business Mastermind Feature Series spotlights women in our Founding Females® women’s mastermind group. We’re creating a community where women-led businesses uplift and impact one another.
Women who build businesses within strong communities tend to out-perform women who try to build something alone. Having a community means access to resources and mentorship, problem solving and idea sharing, emotional support, and the network effect, where referrals tend to be passed within the strong ecosystem of a network.
10 Reasons Why Women Entrepreneurs Choose Community
Here are 10 reasons why women gravitate toward building a strong community of entrepreneurs:
Accountability that drives action
A safe space for vulnerability
Collaboration over competition
Inspiring, fresh ideas
Access to collective knowledge
Opportunities, referrals, and growth
Emotional support during business challenges
Celebrating wins and milestones
Diverse perspectives
A shared mission of empowerment
The women business owners you’ll meet in this series bring value to the rest of us in insightful ways. I’m delighted to share their growth and success with you!
First, let’s cover one big question: What is a women’s business mastermind?
What is a Women’s Mastermind Group?
The Founding Females® women business mastermind group is a female entrepreneur space online where members find support and belonging in a community full of ideas about how to grow their businesses.
Inside the Mastermind community is a buzzing conversation about business topics that make a difference for how women run their businesses. We talk about topics like how to generate cashflow, practical guidance about how to achieve work/life balance, marketing tips and tricks, and personal development and mindset growth.
Each month, Founding Females® Mastermind members access a transformative one-hour Mastermind call where all members share their best business wisdom on a specific business topic.
Monthly Mastermind calls are one way for women business owners to link arms and pour into each other with the goal for everyone in the Mastermind community to advance forward in their businesses. Together, we are a strong community of women business owners, just like Taylor, who you’ll meet below.
Doing the Hard Work
You know what I love? Women entrepreneurs who put in the work.
Before you wonder if I’m promoting hustle culture (I’m not!), know this. Putting in the work isn’t grinding.
It’s steadily and intentionally taking steps forward, even when you can’t see the entire path ahead. It’s embracing transformation and expanding tolerance for some of the uncomfortable feelings that come with starting a business, like confusion and anxiety, which lead to growth. Putting in the work means embracing the unknown to become a problem solver.
The truth is, businesses don’t survive without a founder who has these crucial characteristics to persevere through difficult challenges. Challenges are inevitable with running a small business.
No one embodies these amazing qualities better than Taylor Leontios, founder of Lion Concierge, a mobile physical therapy services business.
I met Taylor early in her business journey at a speed networking event at a women’s conference. From there, Taylor took our Business Bootcamp (click to join the Bootcamp waitlist), invested in our women’s business Mastermind, and poured into learning SEO so she could build an online presence that helped convert qualified leads.
It’s beautiful to see Taylor’s diligence and dedication pay off. She was able to scale back on hours at her old job as her concierge business began to flourish. It’s an honor to introduce you to Taylor because I know you’ll find as much inspiration from her hard work as I do.
FF: Taylor, let’s hear more about Lion Concierge Physical Therapy Services.
Taylor: I provide Physical Therapy, In-Home Fitness Enhancement, and Assisted Stretching services to clients from the comfort of their home.
FF: Tell us about how Lion Concierge came to be a small business.
Taylor: After having worked in the hospital setting for eight years, I became frustrated with the barriers that my patients were experiencing to have quality therapy in the home setting and how little therapy that insurance providers were covering.
I aimed to bridge the gap by providing high quality physical therapy services with a concierge model that would allow me to spend more one-on-one time with each client as well as decrease the stress of getting to and from multiple appointments each week.
FF: What kind of client can you help the most?
Taylor: I have extensive experience working with neurologically impaired clients including people that have experienced spinal cord injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Stroke, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
I also hold a Rehab Stroke Specialist certificate. It is much harder to find physical therapists in the outpatient and home health settings with this level of experience with neurological disorders.
Anyone with those diagnoses, especially those that have difficulty driving or getting into/out of their homes, are ideal clients.
I also love working with people that have chronic diseases or need more medical monitoring for fitness enhancement services. These clients can be any age but I have a special place in my heart for my geriatric clients.

FF: Share a client success story!
Taylor: One of my clients experienced a wrist fracture. After finally getting her cast off, she was too weak to successfully stand up or walk on her own.
Traditionally this type of fracture would require her to seek outpatient physical therapy. However, she lived alone and relied on her daughter for transportation. Her daughter was extremely supportive but driving my client to and from multiple therapy appointments during the week was difficult to manage with her work schedule.
I was able to come to her home and provide therapy twice a week for four weeks. After that time my client was able to stand and transfer to her power wheelchair independently and was able to use her wrist and hand to complete more self care tasks independently. Her daughter was extremely thankful that her mother received the level of care she needed without adding the additional stress of multiple trips each week.
I had another client that was a stroke survivor that utilized my In-Home Fitness Enhancement Services. She was independent with caring for her self and her home but had residual difficulties with speech and was unable to drive due to her stroke several years ago. She and her family were noticing her mental health and strength decline secondary to decreased interaction and activity.
I was able work with her for several months and her family noticed her confidence and mood increase as well as her willingness to participate in family outings as she felt stronger and was able to complete significantly more activity before needing to take a rest break.
She even was able to easily climb three flights of stairs to see all the spaces of her daughter's new home. This was a feat that she would not have been willing to even attempt prior to the fitness enhancement sessions.
FF: How would you describe your own personal growth journey through entrepreneurship?
Taylor: With 10 years of experience as a clinician, I was very confident in my skills as a physical therapist.
The business ownership side has been a huge learning opportunity. I continue to encounter new situations each day that I would not have anticipated prior to owning a business.
I learn something new everyday and have slowly gained more confidence in myself and a business owner.
FF: Taylor, tell us about your favorite business topics.
Taylor: Finding a community, marketing, and book recommendations. I love to gain more and more knowledge especially for those that have more experience owning their own business.
FF: Why did you decide to join the Founding Females® Mastermind?
Taylor: I wanted to have a space that I could learn from other women who also understood the balancing act of maintaining a happy, healthy home life while still succeeding in the workspace.
FF: Let’s get connected! Share with us where you’re spending time.
