First, let’s cover one big question: What is a women’s business mastermind?
What is a Women’s Business Mastermind?
The Founding Females® women business mastermind is a female entrepreneur online space where members find support and belonging in a community full of ideas about how to grow their businesses.
Inside the Mastermind community is a buzzing conversation about business topics that really matter to small business owners, like how to market effectively, practical guidance from past experience to achieve work/life balance, and personal development guidance that translates into mindset growth.
Each month, Founding Females® Mastermind members have access to a transformative one-hour Mastermind call where all members share their best business wisdom on a specific business topic.
Monthly Mastermind calls are a way for women business owners to link arms and pour into each other with the goal for everyone in the Mastermind community to advance forward in their businesses. Together, we are a strong community of women business owners, just like Bre, who you’ll meet below.
Developing Know, Like, and Trust
After ten years in business, I’ve noticed an interesting component to why women buy. In my experience, women first seek to know, like, and trust, and then tend to buy from personal connections. That’s how Bre Henderson, a virtual assistant, and I began working together.
Bre consistently attended our local Meet Ups and I watched her selflessly pour high quality business guidance into other small business owners in the room. When others ask about marketing, processes, and systems, Bre always knows her stuff. She knows her stuff because she has worked on the backend of many different kinds of businesses as their virtual assistant (VA). And luckily, Bre also became my VA too.
I’m excited to introduce you to her so you can have this boss lady in your back pocket the next time your small business needs a systems and online business maverick. Many women I know have hired her and been delighted with her high quality deliverables!
FF: Bre, let’s hear more about ‘Henderson VA.’
Bre: As a virtual assistant, I help female business owners tackle the backend tasks that they know are necessary but just aren’t in their zone of genius.
I handle the nitty-gritty stuff—think graphic creation, business systems, and administrative tasks—so they can get back to doing what they love.
Whether it’s auditing their workflows or streamlining their day-to-day processes, I’m all about efficiency and organization.
My work is designed to save my clients time and reduce their stress. That way, they can focus on growing their business, scaling their brand, and doing the work that truly lights them up.
I make sure the to-do lists get checked off and systems run smoothly, with a little sass and a lot of fun along the way!
FF: Tell us about how Henderson VA came to be a small business.
Bre: Henderson VA was born out of a combination of burnout and a desire to serve. I started my career in the healthcare field, but after years of giving my all, I was beyond exhausted.
When the pandemic hit, it was the perfect time to pivot. On a coaching call with my wellness coach, I was complaining about my job.
She asked me to list things I enjoyed doing, no matter what it was. One thing I listed was making workbooks and guides for my network marketing business.
On that call, she had me open up my Canva, show her my work, and then asked me to make her a podcast cover.
From that one podcast cover, a passion was born! Within 6 months, I replaced my full time income with the women I had been supporting, so I thought, why not make this official and build a business out of it?
I started small, offering my graphic design services to a few clients, and my knowledge continued to grow. I was exposed to many different teams and absorbed different skills like a sponge.
I quickly realized there was a huge demand for women like me who can handle the backend operations of a business. The more I worked with creative, talented women, the more I saw how freeing it was for them to hand over those tasks they dreaded.
Henderson VA has grown into a space where I help other business owners thrive, all while maintaining balance and joy in my own life.
FF: Who do you love working with and helping?
Bre: I love working with female entrepreneurs who are creative, driven, and maybe a little overwhelmed by the admin side of things.
My ideal client is someone who’s passionate about her business but feels bogged down by the tasks that aren’t in her zone of genius. She’s ready to delegate and knows the value of getting expert help with those behind-the-scenes operations.
One of my favorite types of clients is the solopreneur who has big dreams but can’t seem to keep up with the daily grind.
I come in and help them turn chaos into clarity. Most of the time, business owners don't know what is possible. We can't be expected to know everything, but if I can help add a new system to their workflow, then it makes life easier!
Whether they need help with project management, system audits, or simply getting their inbox under control, I love being the secret weapon that helps them thrive.

FF: Share a client success story!
Bre: One of my favorite success stories involves a client who came to me completely buried under her admin workload. She runs a highly successful social media management agency, but she had no time to focus on growth and creativity because she was bogged down with emails, scheduling, and client management.
We recently changed the entire structure of her business so she spends less time creating content and can focus on doing CEO tasks, not admin work!
In the three years I have worked with her, we have set up automated systems in Dubsado and ClickUp to help with client onboarding and management, created standard operating procedures for content creation, optimized her systems, created email automations for sales, and hired three new team members.
She is now able to take on more clients and, most importantly, get back to the work she loves—mentoring! With her free time, she has built out courses for aspiring social media managers, created templates to sell for those just getting started, and brought on social media management (SMM) mentorship clients. Seeing her business grow and her stress level drop is so satisfying. This is why I do what I do.
FF: How would you describe your own personal growth journey through entrepreneurship?
Bre: Entrepreneurship has been a wild ride! Starting my own business felt like stepping into the unknown, especially after years of working in a structured healthcare environment.
I quickly learned that being a business owner means constantly evolving—both in terms of your business skills and your mindset.
I’ve had to learn everything from marketing and finances to time management and setting boundaries (because let's face it, burnout is real!).
I am not one to pretend that everything has been sunshine and rainbows. I'd be lying if I said that I haven't ended many nights searching job boards and thinking about burning down everything and going back to a 9-5 job.
In the end, the most important things in life are what have kept me going. The flexibility to pick up my nephews from daycare for fun days, go for lunchtime margs with my sister, or just lay around and couch rot have been the driving factors to keep going! This is why I built this business and that drive keeps me going.
On a personal level, this journey has pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined. It’s taught me resilience, patience, and how to trust my instincts.
I’ve become more confident in my abilities and learned to embrace the challenges as part of the process. The best part? I get to do it all while helping other women crush it in their own businesses. Win-win!
FF: Bre, tell us about your favorite business topics.
Bre: Oh, I could talk all day about business systems and productivity hacks! I’m all about efficiency, so I love sharing tips on how to streamline workflows and set up automations that save time and reduce stress. It is mind blowing to me how many people don't know about Zapier- if that is you, look it up and thank me latter!
I also love talking about mindset—especially the importance of ditching perfectionism and learning to delegate. If you’re trying to do everything yourself, you’re going to burn out, and I’m here to help women avoid that trap.
Another favorite topic is finding community in entrepreneurship. It can feel isolating running your own business, especially if you’re a solopreneur.
I’m all about connecting with other like-minded women, sharing resources, and lifting each other up. Whether it’s through masterminds, networking groups, or just chatting with fellow business owners, I believe community is key to success.
Founding Females has pushed me outside of my comfort zone so much, but now it is one constant in my life I will never be without. I cannot stress enough the importance of finding your community.
FF: Why did you decide to join the Founding Females® Mastermind?
Bre: Piggybacking off the last answer... Joining the Founding Females Mastermind was a no-brainer for me. I wanted to surround myself with other women who are just as passionate about growing their businesses as I am.
Being in a mastermind group gives me the opportunity to learn from others’ experiences, get new perspectives, and share my own insights, too. It’s like having a built-in group of cheerleaders and accountability partners.
The solopreneur world is lonely. We work from home and stare at computers all day. It is imperative to surround yourself with other like-minded women who challenge you to level up your biz! Sometimes, all it takes is one conversation or one piece of advice to spark a new idea or solution - hello new website!
The energy, support, and collective wisdom in the Founding Females Mastermind are exactly what I need to continue growing my business and supporting my clients.
