Mastermind Member Spotlight: How Inkling Design is Helping Heart-Centered Brands Show Up Beautifully Online

At Founding Females®, we believe that when women step into their power and build businesses rooted in purpose, incredible things happen. That’s why we’re so excited to shine a spotlight on one of our mastermind members who embodies that mission so beautifully: the co-owner behind Inkling Design, Kelley Gibson.

What started as a creative collaboration between two passionate women has blossomed into a full-fledged design and web agency serving heart-centered clients across the country. Inkling Design is on a mission to help purpose-driven entrepreneurs—especially women—build brands and websites that are not only stunning and strategic, but that truly reflect the good they’re doing in the world.

With a specialty in custom branding and WordPress websites for service-based businesses (especially in the health and wellness space), Inkling Design empowers clients to take control of their digital presence without the overwhelm. And behind this growing agency is a leader who’s looking ahead to boldly stepping into her CEO era—embracing team growth, smart delegation, and the clarity that comes from working in her zone of genius.

In this feature, we’ll dive into her journey from co-creator to agency owner, how kindness drives their client relationships, and why confidence is the most powerful tool in any business owner’s toolbox.

First, let’s cover what a mastermind is.

What is a women’s business mastermind?

The Founding Females® Mastermind is more than just a group—it’s a thriving, off-social-media sanctuary for women entrepreneurs who crave real connection, meaningful conversation, and business growth on their own terms.

This private business community is buzzing with daily dialogue, insight, and encouragement from women building businesses with intention. Whether you’re scaling a service-based company, launching a new offer, or navigating mindset shifts around money and pricing, the mastermind offers a space where you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Inside, we cover the real stuff that moves the needle—like:

  • Building strategic partnerships that actually lead to referrals

  • Making confident money decisions and upgrading your money mindset

  • Designing a business that fits into your life (not the other way around)

  • Pricing your offers in a way that reflects your value and fuels your growth

Every month, members gather for a powerful one-hour mastermind call to share wisdom, workshop ideas, and collaborate on a focused topic that impacts every woman entrepreneur. Between calls, members stay connected through thoughtful posts, encouraging comments, and genuine check-ins.

It’s the kind of space where big business breakthroughs happen—surrounded by women who truly get it and are cheering you on every step of the way.

Friends, Meet Kelley Gibson, Co-Owner of Inkling Design

Kelley’s journey through entrepreneurship hasn’t just grown her business—it’s transformed her from the inside out. Today, she shows up with more confidence than ever before—whether she’s owning her expertise in web design, sharing her voice online, or trusting her instincts when something’s not the right fit. Her growth is a powerful reminder that building a business you love also builds a version of you that you love even more.

Founding Females®: Kelley, let’s hear more about your company, Inkling Design.

Kelley: Inkling Design is a design & web agency helping heart-centered humans with their branding, websites, and marketing materials.

We specialize in creating custom branding and WordPress websites for service-based businesses who are on a mission to do good in their communities and beyond.

We love empowering others to take control of their branding and website with confidence so that they can stay in their zone of genius when it comes to scaling their business.

Websites do not need to be overwhelming, and they can be beautiful and strategic at the same time!

Founding Females®: Tell us about how you came into ownership of Inkling Design.

Kelley: My business partner Andrea first started Inkling Design 20 years ago. I joined her as a freelancer in 2012, and then in 2018 we decided to officially partner and grow the business.

Founding Females®: What kind of client is a great fit for Inkling Design?

Kelley: We love working with female-led businesses and organizations. While we very often find ourselves working with clients in the health and wellness space, we have worked with clients across many different industries and stages of business. Kindness is a core value of ours and one we make a priority when evaluating new client prospects.

Founding Females®: Share an accomplishment you’re most proud of!

Kelley: I'm really proud of our growth in general. When we first started, I never imagined our company being anything more than just Andrea and I working together on projects and wearing all the hats.

The idea of actually growing into an agency never crossed my mind, but we have since added four contractors to our team and hired external support for things like bookkeeping, copywriting and social media strategy.

Transitioning from less of a doer and more of an owner and embracing more of a CEO mindset has empowered me to envision further growth and identify other areas of opportunity for our business.

Founding Females®: Let’s hear a client success story!

Kelley: Last year we were contacted by someone who was looking to start her own postnatal care business. She had a great business plan and a passion for what she wanted to do, and her energy and willingness to put herself out there and take a risk was very inspiring.

We had the pleasure of assisting her with creating her branding and her website. Since then we have witnessed major growth in her business and been able to support her on her journey to support her growing business.

It has been so awesome watching her go from first announcing her new business to needing new marketing materials for trade shows, being able to quit her day job, growing a team with multiple practitioners and landing a social media collab with a prominent local influencer.

Founding Females®: How would you describe your own personal growth journey through entrepreneurship?

Kelley: My journey through entrepreneurship has made me more confident in many different areas of my life. I'm more confident showing up online, positioning myself as an expert when it comes to websites, and trusting my gut when something doesn't feel like a good fit.

Founding Females®: Kelley, tell us about your favorite business topics.

Kelley: I'm a finance nerd in disguise and love talking all things strategy, money mindset, budgeting and growth opportunities. I also love talking about the entrepreneur journey in general.

I feel like we can learn so much from good conversations with other entrepreneurs regardless of industry or business stage.

These conversations help me see things differently in my own business, identify other opportunities I may have missed, put things on my radar for the future and just light me up!

Founding Females®: Why did you decide to join the Founding Females® Mastermind?

Kelley: I joined the Founding Females® Mastermind in an effort to connect with and learn from a new group of female entrepreneurs. I have made wonderful connections and friendships in other communities that have shown me the value of tapping into the experiences of others traveling down a similar path and wanted to expand that reach even further to see what more I could learn and how else I might be able to help others on their journeys.

Founding Females®: Share your vision with us. How do you see Inkling Design growing and evolving?

I'm excited to see where we grow from here! In the coming years, I envision Andrea and I continuing to take on more of a CEO role allowing us to spend more time working on the business rather than in the business.

This year we are really focusing on our sales process, so my goal is to increase my confidence in my sales skills.

I see us potentially growing our team even more and working with more 6 and 7-figure clients on projects that feel equally as rewarding for us and our clients.

Founding Females®: Let’s get connected! Share with us where you’re spending time.
